Creative Trade Tools

As a mechanical engineer, I do 2 things...specify toilets, and listen to my ipod.

There's more where that came from!

I love these things. I am so in meetings today where ideas go to die!

How to spend a whole day doing 45 minutes

I got to go to stink town today! That's right, my boss came in and hauled my ass down to Greeley so that I could do absolutely nothing but sit on a hospital bed in an abandoned wing and flick boogers at the wall.

Josh is going to be coming to Cheyenne for a week to help me work on my house and to kind of get away from everything. I have been meaning to design what I want, but that would take a lot of time and effort.

So anyway, this is sorta kinda my plan.

The first big thing I want to do is install a sliding pantry so I actually have some space in my kitchen. This is going to be tough because we have to build it OVER the stairs...which means we have to frame something. hmmm, hope we can figure that out.

Then I am going to hang all of my pots and pans from one of those pot hanger deals. Yeah, just look at the pic to get my drift. I always wanted one, and I have the nicest pots and pans to do it.

Ok, then I am making it a half wall between my kitchen and the stairs. This will open up the space some (much needed) and possibly provide an extra counter.

Then...well then I have a bare wall, I am thinking a mural. Off to measure!

The Return of Blod

Much has changed recently. I moved...a lot.

I got a job that I actually...like.

I started dating...again.

But one thing stayed constant...my love of dot dot dot.

I left the blogging scene for a little over a year. In that year I was in a bad place. My typical mood is not brooding, its happy. I think something about living in a small apartment next to some of the worst rednecks I have ever met, sealed me in.

But then I started to meet new people, take classes on wine (in Cheyenne! holy shit!) and become the guy people instantly like again. Oh, and I bought a house, which has given my craftmanship skills a good test.

But it is time folks. I said one day, when I closed shop at Blodnick II, that I would return when life got more interesting, and here we are. Welcome back.
